Care of Your New Counters

 

DO's

 

  • Clean all surfaces with warm water and soap.
  • Rinse and dry surfaces after cleaning.
  • Blot up spills immediately.
  • Use antibacterial cleaners in food preparation areas (not necessary for Quartz).

 

DON'Ts

 

  • Don't use abrasive cleaners like Comet, Ajax, or Soft Scrub.
  • Don't use cleaners that contain acid, i.e., bathroom or grout cleaners, or tub/tile cleaners.
  • Don't use cleaners that contain vinegar or lemon juice.
  • Don't sit or stand on stone countertops.
  • Don't cut directly on stone countertops; always use a cutting board.
  • Don't put hot pots and pans directly on stone countertops; always use a hot pad or trivet.
